What can be done about lack of sleep?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

Good sleep should be an essential part of our daily routine, but a multitude of public complain that they are facing trouble getting adequate sleep. Lack of sleep can cause several diseases as well as affect the mood of any individual. To solve this issue, an abrupt action is required, both on the governmental level as well as on an individual basis.

According to a latest survey, many of the employees who do not have enough sleep due to work burden or any other reason, mentioned cardiac problems, stress, or bad temper when they wake up. Another questionnaire points out that staff productivity reduces whenever they they have less than six hours sleep compare to those who have sufficient sleep time. Lack of sleep not only has an impact on productivity, but also influence physical relation of couples.

To handle this matter, governments should introduce new laws to support workers and compel organizations to reduce working hours but increase the hourly wage. Working at night should be abandoned except for departments, where there is no other choice. Poor people should be helped financially and taught the necessary skills so that they do not need to work day and night while compromising on sleep.

Another easy but crucial way to solve this problem is using teachers, doctors, and film stars' services. These professionals already have a significant influence on the public; for instance, instructors educate their pupils about lack of sleep consequences, doctors introduce a slogan on their prescription forms highlighting the importance of sleep, and film stars advertise on TV regarding this.
