Many people are increasingly suffering from sicknesses as a result of stress. This essay will discuss the main cause of this stress-related health issue is longer working hour and in order to solve this problem individuals should maintain work-life balance.
The primary cause associated with people experiencing mental health issues caused by stress such as anxiety, depression is because they tend to work more than normal hours. People often place themselves in an unfavourable situation where they have to spend more time to fulfil their responsibilities and prove themselves as competitors. This is because to gain promotion and earn more money in order to maintain luxurious lifestyle. As a result, they become victims of various diseases associated with stress. For example, in China, majority of people work long hour to achieve promotion and increased and at the same time they suffered from strain and other psychological disorders.
To mitigate this issue, one’s ought to improve work-life balance. This means that every person needs rest after certain hours of work because their brain could not handle and work effectively without proper rest. Therefore, they should find out the appropriate strategies to manage the time at work and give sufficient time for themselves so that they can relax and spend time with their loved ones. The result of this would be better performance at work and positive impact on individual’s life. For instance, people in Germany are healthier in terms of stress because they often give emphasis for maintaining work-life balance.
