It is really unfortunate that the renowned tourist spots which are mostly visited by travellers are tremendously polluted and become threatened due to unconscious activities of human. Before reaching to damaged condition, the active reasons behind these need to be addressed properly by finding out proper solutions. This essay shall look for the appropriate causes of why people are littering this places and suggest some ways forwards.

To begin with, in recent years the sea beaches has hot the highest concerns owing to the worst effects on ocean creatures. One of the main reasons is the use of plastics randomly and and non-management of these aseptic garbage. As a result, these pollutants are gradually contaminating the sea water which results in a devastating effect on our blue economy. For instance, Kamilo beach situated in Hawaii, USA is nicknamed as trash beach or plastic beach where ocean currents drag non biodegradable garbage creating plastic nightmare in paradise.

What is more,it is estimated that 73% of the beach litter worldwide is the plastic products for which in various beach authorities has obliged to limit the scope of travelling. The carelessness attitude of tourist towards environment made them threw these products to ocean which is not considered as matter of concern to them. However, people think that one plastic bottle or wrapper of chips does not matter. On the contrary, the ultimate consequences are tremendously unexpected. For example, various reports depicted that the harmful plastic products were found in the body of sea creatures including fish, tortoise, squid etc. Moreover, in some cases these lead them to death and make the environment unsuitable for living and breeding.

The first step to ensure sustainable management of these endangered spots has to be taken by government, is to educate the people about extinction of the number of species and to acknowledge about the disturbance of natural balance due to uncontrolled human activities. Besides, trashcan should be available at every point of beach and strict laws need to be implied to prohibit the violation of the rules. Apart from these, people also should assist government by realizing the real fact of environmental degradation to ensure a suitable place of tourism for the gen-next. Finally, The online and paper media also can greatly contribute by creating awareness among people about responsible tourism.

To recapitulate, it can be argued that irresponsible tourism can cease the scenic beauty of attractive natural spot and make it to the trash house of debris which in turn hampered our tourist industry that ultimately lead to a terrific effect on our economy. Undoubtedly, government and general people both are responsible to improve this condition. One should remember the saying, " A good tourist is one who leaves behind nothing but footprints and take away nothing but photographs".

(1) I am not sure what you mean by aseptic here. The dictionary gives the meaning: medically clean or without infection.

My question, is it tourists who are creating these problems? Is it only tourists who throw their trash into the sea? Or local people also.

I live in Bali and the problem is that many local people throw their trash into the rivers, which gets flushed out into the sea whenever there is heavy rain.

I would have mentioned some other problems that tourism causes, such as over-development and the loss of natural areas. Trash is one problem, but is certainly not just tourists who are the cause of this problem.
